Hi all.
I've been a long time admirer of the CCM marque and now thinking of buying a Spitfire.

What's putting me off is CCM asking for 1/2 the cost of the bike up front.

To produce this bike they have had an injection of money to develop the project and I'm concerned what would happen if it fails.

Rarity value plus the current trend for "shed retro" bikes probably means that the spitfire range will hold their value really well if you keep it pristine, as most will. They may even sell at a premium , who knows. There is one on ebay for about double the ccm price ( no 1 of a limited number)- Somewhat optimistic but who knows. Supply and demand and all that.
Not sure what the lead time is but could you not pay by credit card, as you might at least have some protection if it all goes wrong. And the new rules mean that they cannot charge extra for credit card payments. Morgans still sell privately for more than the factory charges.
I think that there is now a bobber as well, lets hope its not a boober. But as Rob said, I think that the spitfire has sold out so you would need to look at one of the other models.

And Monty ( aka Howard Hughes), dont give us the poverty line. I know that your carpets are hand woven by Essex virgins ( much rarer than a ccm spitfire) and that you bought your neighbours house to use as an ashtray.

We should go to Excel if Rob is "working" there
