Just wondering what gear ratios you are using foe your supermotos, what the top speeds are, and why you chose the gearing? Cheers!

15/43 on a 644 cos it's standard and alround best, but all over at 90 realistically (but would do more)

don't bother gearing it up to do 100mph cos it'll ruin the punch out of corners

gearing it down is great fun, makes wheelies easier and punch out of corners is a bit better
but it'll be asthmatic at 85 and your grandads Mondeo will piss all over you

16 tooth on the front raises gearing (or 40 rear) and gives maybe 5mph more top end
14 front (or 46) lowers and loses 5mph

hth

My 604rs ran 16/38 as standard and was meant to top out at 107. I now run a 39 rear and get around 100, but is better mid speeds. Have run 17/38 for a 115/120 top end, and 70 at 3500 rpm
keep the faith

I had an 18 front on the dyno( not sure the rear) and registered 118... 16 front was topping about 95 and i blew the head rings as was thrashing the crap out of it.... but bloody great acceleration...

18 / 46 on my 604e . She will reach a little over a ton and is still punchy enough for carving traffic duties . Bigger sprockets last longer , more teeth to spread the load and besides i'm a sucker for a large shiny rear sprocket.
