Fuse blown (Rotax 604)

So I pulled up at the Petrol station, filled up, paid, got back on - wouldn't start.
After plenty of cursing it turns out the 15amp fuse has blown (it's a Rotax, so it's the only fuse)
Replaced the fuse - all good.

Had a quick look at the wiring around the headstock for fraying but it was ok.
No previous history of dodgy wiring or blown fuses on the bike (I've had it years & know it well)

Any ideas what else I should look for chaps? I'm a bit nervous now.
Or can these fuses just blow on their own?

Mine blew several times whilst in Wales, turns out turn relay dont like water,

fuses can get tired, so always carry a spare taped to the loom by the fuse
If it aint sharp I can play with it

Mine went, or rather a leg broke.
Also a relay behind the headlight went a bit intermittent. Fairly cheap fix.
I've had dodgy ignition switches too.

Just thought I'd update this thread in case it helps anyone else out in future.

I think I've sorted it now - when I took the tank off I noticed that the rubber, triangular shaped connector block (from the CDI to the coil) had been squeezed apart slightly when I'd put the tank back.
It looked like one of the bare connectors in the triangular block had been shorting against the CDI unit.
I refixed the connector block, dressed all the cables properly and made sure they didn't rub on the tank.
I've now had a couple of longish rides on it with no blown fuses, so fingers crossed.
