Hi,

Hope all is good in the world of CCM ownership! I have had an issue with my front brake caliper on the old tractor and was wondering if someone could offer advice.

The front brake caliper has 3 washers between it and the fork leg as the caliper was too far away from the disc. I have tried all sorts but now think i may have the answer but want some moral support before i go on!

picture

the link above gives a picture of the internal wheel spacer, i notice it has different length shoulders on each end. Is it possible mine has been inserted the wrong way round?

thanks in advance

Hi,

Just been in the garage again and removed the front wheel bearings and had a look at the internal spacer.

It looks like a home made job with an equal shoulder length on each end. the link that i tried to post distinctly shows one end with a larger shoulder length than the other. i am guessing that this set up would move the wheel to one side or the other slightly?

Does this sound right, and do you reckon i have got a home made special internal spacer?

Just looked on ccmspares site, the spacer is not shown on their exploded drawing.

sorry cant help with what spacer should look like

Do your bearings sit fully home, there should be a lip that stops them going in too far. the spacer ends I think should fit inside the bearing, on right the speedo drive acts as one spacer, and on left there should be another spacer about a inch long with a step that fits inside the bearing
If it aint sharp I can play with it
