I got the GoPro HDhero not the 2 tho
looked at the spec and the 2 doesn't do that much more for the extra ££'s

got the motorsport version, only diffence in the versions is what
extra's and mounts come with it

check out dogcamsports for funky mounts they do a range
that work with the gopro or you can get a converter so the gopro
case fits normal camera mounts

they easy to use, once you've set it up into what mode you want
I use 720p at 60fps then can do super slowmo if you want when it comes to edit time

Wastefully exuberant as usual.

yeah a little better but for me still didnt seem worth the extra cash

saying that at the time the HDhero was £150 and the HDhero2 was £300

and i think the HDhero2 is now down to like £199 maybe not so much difference now

have a look at the Dogcam wide HD720 too
http://www.dogcamsport.co.uk/dogcam-bullet...amera-WIDE.html

been looking at getting one to go along with my GoPro
nice to have a few angles/views covered on the same ride

plus its only £99
Wastefully exuberant as usual.

Theres a hero 3 out now if that interests you?

Hero 2 prices should fall a fair bit now.

On the motorsports kit theres sticky pads to attach to your helmet and suction cups to mount to the bike. Im not sure how well they work but i imagine quite well being go pro.
Yamaha DT 125 - Sold

The 3 looks good but its £150 more,

Tried to get a tenner of from website, but they wouldn't, so said thanks and said it would have been an impulse buy,

I'll wait till the 3 comes out and as you said the price will drop on the hero2

I do mate, can't fault it one bit. Super easy to use. They are meant to be used whilst riding with it on top of your lid, so pretty easy. Tough as nails too. Quality is truly awesome for such a small thing and the photo's are pretty damn good as well on the right setting. Just ordered one of these just incase an adhesive fails (which never really happens) - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GoPro-Aluminum-L...=item41675a8fa9

What's the cheapest you've seen?

Best price so far Sam is £199.99

Cheaper on the bay, but they are grey imports from USA. apparently you wouild have to send to USA for any warrenty work

Gopro 3 out mid nov, hopefully the 2 price will drop a tad more.

not such a huge difference is pic quality between 2 & 3 as between 1 & 2

another good reason for one is that its waterproof to 60m, not that I'd use it for scuba diving, just will get wet greenlaning this winter

That's not bad, got mine about 8 months ago for 235. I use mine for enduro's all the time and it gets drenched. From what i saw on the spec's there is not much of a difference between the 2 n the 3 for the price really.
