Hi, Does anyone know what size an inlet manifold should be to fit a mikuni VM 44 carb to a 604. I've heard it could be 8mm . And where I could get one .I think Cuz might have fitted one . Thanks |

I haven't done it yet koban but 8mm is the measurement I've got in my head. Its all about fitting it in I think. You have to bend the headsteady brackets as well or move them forwards, which is what I'm doing. I'm sure there was a member on here that had an R30m,they would know for definate. I have a 44mm mik that came off a rotax and can look at the jet sizes if you want a starting point for jets. You also have to bend the choke lever to fit,I'll get a pic of mine and post on here when the camera returns later on today |

![]() Hi Koban, had a look the other day and the choke lever has to be bent down to miss one of the headstay brackets. The choke plunger mechs in the way of the bracket on the other side which looks like it could be filed off a bit so it fits. Can't really tell till I get an engine in the frame for definite measurements but I'm 99% sure the adapter plate is 8mm thick. Its one hell of a squeeze in there!! |
