basically they are all the same as far as the unit goes, where they change is what type of speedo cable fixing you get, as there are some bike specific ones.

your after either universal or it may say enduro/super motard.

saying that you could get the speedo cable that screws into the brake bracket but as our holes are not in the correct place you would need to make and thread a new hole.

up to you my friend

I hope the Vector is more waterproof than the Vapor....
had nothing but trouble with mine steaming up and the LCD becoming unusable/readable.
Took the stupid thing off eventually and went back to the original fitment DS clocks,
they have great promise but my reality is they don't work in the day to day riding to work
in all weathers world...

Like always i have had a great idea and my brain catches up later!!

Does the vector/vapor have a main/dip indication, indicator warnings? how where have people mounted the ignition switch?

Really wished that i thought of these things before charging ahead :worthy:

Any help is appreciated

oh yeah and which electrical connectors did people us to connect to the unit?

Think it may come with the connectors but now realise that it probably need the indicator dashboard unit to fit it in, am i right?

i dont know what they come with standard as mine was already on the bike,
but mine had an indicator light, high beam and neutral.

if your mounting to the original dash your need to put a blanking plate of metal or hard plastic and then fix the unit to that so no need to worry about the ignition.

you shouldnt need the surround but i think it makes the whole unit a bit tidier and if your planning on moving the iggy barrel or something then the little bracket it comes with means you can do away with all heavy bracketing from the front end.

Thats basically what ive got, the outer shell with the gauges is not included with the standard kits.
Also they come standard with 2 handle bar mounts (one for thin and one for fat bars)

May be selling mine soon as i dont know if ive got time to fit one before i sort a car out.

Garyh knocked me a stainless dash mount up for mine, retro fitted the neutral and indicator bulbs from the DS dash to it,it was still feckin useless in wet weather.

Luck of the draw Jonny....more like shoddy workmanship,I took it apart and the
board inside was completely unprotected,i.e no silicon protecting it from the elements...
It's possible that idiot light add-on you have on yours helps keep it dry inside...dunno
