you mean rotax or 644 .. seeing as both came in the R30 version. basically the suzuki is a smoother beast .. where as the rotax is more aggressive, also the rotax has more power from less CC's and is far more tunable although you can do a fair bit to the 644 ... i as ive said before would be happy with either. which is better? .. niether .. both have plus's and minuses and it really depends on how you want the bike to feel to which one you choose. |

mine is a rotax 604 brothers is a suzuki 644 ,youre right his is super smooth ,but feels all wooly , but mine feels rougher, his breaking doesnt feel as positive as mine ,in fact it feels a bit disconnected compared to mine ,i just wondered if it could be made to feel a bit more like a 604 in a handling way ? ive told my brother he must get an end can as the 644 feels massively resticted through the exhaust ! |

Personally my self the Rotax as more torque but with the 710 kit on the Suzuki I am sure they would be the same next mod on mine when a bargain comes along lol 😛 |
![]() Like my CCM I'm old, overweight and badly maintained but I can still surprise you by how fast I can move!! | |

well handling is just down to the set up , so maybe his is set slightly different to yours, and braking should be fine in less his needs a service and new fluid? doing all the little tweeks like TPS/gubbins out, then end can and re jet will make it feel better. one step further is the mid range cam which will put it about on par with the 604, and many will say its the only mod the 644 needs and its a pretty cheap mod. of course you do have the 710 option like hursty said as well but your now talking money. how does he like the handling of the bike though as that is what matters? |

the Rotax can then be upped to 636 which steps it ahead once again though! |

My old Rotax was a 636, and my new one is a 710. I dont think theres much in it tbh if they are set up right. As Jonny said set up is the key, even down to what works for him may not work for you bud ;) |
