there was a comp on the old ccm riders forum that asked for unusal pics of your bikes . i was trying to use my brother in laws tractor as the the rotax bikes. for the ones that dont know the rotax bikes were called tractors as the engines supposedl were agricultural engines and used in ditch pumps lol

just before i sold the DT it has majorly blew up. took out the big end the conrod the small end and the piston. got it rebored at work and the new conrod and crank kit. main bearings and so on. it was a 135cc by the time it was built. i got the ccm644ds a few weeks later and sold the DT

Like my CCM I'm old, overweight and badly maintained but I can still surprise you by how fast I can move!!

I think the Rotax engine was origanlly part of a 'Gen-Set' electrical generator... for the British Army...
They modified the Power Take Off (PTO), in order for it to work as a ditch pump i belive...
Then simply added wheels to make it easier to move around...

The Armstong was born!
