I have the Paioli forks, so I know I need two of the £20 bearings from Haines. http://www.hainesmc.co.uk/ccm_motorcycle_s...rk_components_/ However, having dug around a bit, I THINK, these are the same. Does anyone know for sure? There's a big saving to be had if they're right. http://www.thebearingcompany.co.uk/product...id_product=5498 **** EDIT (See links at the bottom of this post, which confirm the cheaper bearings you CAN get instead of the £57 I paid from CCM!!!!)**** |

Maybe worth a try then. I've only found one source to suggest that they would fit. So it might be worth a punt I suppose. |

I need them quickly and don't have the time to change them if they're wrong, so I've ordered the ones I know are right, from CCM. £57.55 and they should be here tomorrow - ouch! I will measure them up when they arrive, just to be able to kick myself that the alternatives I found, were probably right!! |

What's the best way to re-insert the bearing casings into the frame - any ideas? I thought I could put the old roller bearing into the new casing and drive the casing home with a hammer and wood. By using the old rollers, I wont damage the new ones. Should the casings really be pulled into place with a proper puller though? Does anyone know what the tool should look like? |

when i put headstock bearings in i tapped the shell into the headstock with a copper hammer then put the old bearing into it , got a thredded rod and washers big enough to cover the top and bottom bearing and slowely wind the nut on the thread and it pulled the shell home top and bottom. hope this helps,i also have a grey frame rotax |

Thanks Steveo. I think that's a much better solution than my 'whack it with a hammer' idea. Any tips for seating the bearing onto the bottom yoke or did you rely on the top yoke nut to 'pull' it into position? |

I've always put the bearing/housing/headstock which ever you want to shrink, in the freezer for a couple of hours and popped them in place, got to be quick though |
