Welded my stand

My bike used to lean RIGHT over on the stand, to the point where I thought it could easily tip over.

I removed the stand and welded a cover over the point where it touches the bracket. This means that the bike is now MUCH more upright when on the stand. An easy fix if yours has the same problem.

I just need to respray the stand and fit it back in.

I don't have any 'before' shots - you'll have to take my word for it!

You can see here how it used to 'scuff' on the frame when it was leaning right over.

2nd shot shows it leaning just enough to the left now.

3rd shot shows my welded on 'button'. I just need to respray the stand now when I get a moment.

A new spring is on order!

A common problem wiv the ccm stands i welded mine up to but after loosing the bolt of the back about 100 times i decided just to take the stand off n lean it against summat when im out bit tricky some time, but the bike looks so much better wiv out that big lump ov metal on the side :D

I know what you mean Steve. There's a lot of weight on that bolt. I've bent two already!

the straight legged trail stand stops the bike leaning too far . even with sm wheels on it works fine . had mine on the bike when it was stolen with sm wheels on. when i got the new bike i was left with two sm stands . got one cut and a bit welded in to make it longer .
