trying to get my bike back on the road . repairing the theft damage for some reason he took the side stand off. ive just got a used one off ebay of some one breaking a 604. the side stand that has come doesnt look like my old one . mine was straight this one has a 45 degree bend at the end . cant fit it to my bike unto tomorrow as its at my parents. question is will it fit or will it need modding or it wont fit at all thanks shaun |

on the 644ds the straight one was the trail stand . the bent one was the supermoto one. the straight one was better in my eyes for the supermoto wheels too as it did not lean the bike too far over as it did with the supermoto bent stand . if the bent stand fits ,see if you can get a welding guy to cut the bend out and slip in a tube then fit another tube to the bottom then make a new foot for the end . |

i found the supermoto bent one made the bike lean to far . i was convinced that was why it kept snapping the bracket bolts( the bolts were pants. got better ones off steve though) so i used the trail one with both trail and supermoto wheels on. when the bike was stolen it had the sm wheels on and the trail stand .so when i got my newer bike it had the sm stand so i ended up with two sm stands. i got one welded with a bit to lengthen it but ti sticks out too far with the bent end . so i may get the top bit cut off and a straight tube welded on and a new foot |

You've got an earlier grey frame one and theres no hassle fitting it. They have a different return spring arrangement If you look at the outside of your swinger near the back of the frame theres a cap screw blocking a hole up. You take this out and put what looks to me like a brake disk bolt with a spacer nut on it and screw that in. Stick yer spring on that and your sorted. |
