put my bike back together and it running like a pig. fast variable tick over with petrol running out of the tubes at the top of the carb. floats are probibly stuck again . any tips or can i buy new float assembly is this needed . what is referred to when you say 17mm . what 2 points is this measured between :drinks:

That measurement is for the phm 40 carb,are you on an early flatslide which could be a different set up?

You can fit the dellorto phm 40 which was fitted standard on the later models and I think the mikuni tm 38 fits but not 100%sure on that,something I keep meaning to look into

ok mine has a VHSB 39 nd dellorto, it looksd like the one in the pic. if you open the link it will give info on how to set the levels . if you have one like mine the bottom pic o the left is the right setup. it appears the probs that i had were caused by pieces of the slide missing and ware in the needle and the float valve . i changed them all and the bikes never been so good. thanks cuz

Nice pictures Watts,its a wonder it ran at all with the bits missing off the slide. Are the slides made out of metal or resin? Glad its all sorted and running well,must feel like a new bike :dirtbike:
