hi all,

I am from bedford and have a 03 ccm 644ds supermoto upjetted 27.5/150, k and n filter, air box lid off and ccm race can. Since upjetting, my bike pops and bangs more than it did before it was upjetted. it pulls well but is a bit hesitant at the top end, i have been advised to drill holes in the airbox, any advice welcome, many thanks.

Ive got the lid removed on my 644, but then again I dont go off road mate. Im sure the others will know more :worthy: but Ive heard thats all you need to do and dont drill the sides.
Oh and welcome to the site mate :bye:

hi thanks for the welcome, i will post some pics of my bike soon, with regards to the up jetting, my bike is running no air box lid but still has too much fuel (popping and banging) and is hesitant at the top end. i have been advised to get more air in to it and was told to drill more holes in the side of the airbox. My mate has the rotax and has drilled the sides and now his bike pulls well with minimal popping and banging of unburnt fuel, really dont know the best course of action.

Do not drill holes in airbox, The suzy engine does not like it, The rotax is a lot different and will run better without the air box.

Have you thought to have a dyno run then you will know whether you are weak or rich, not just guessing

The only time you get the popping and banging that I know off is when you shut down from speed, This is quite normal for these beasts, fitting a bigger pilot can quiet it down but wont cure it.

Personally I like it, scares the hell out of box drivers not paying attention
If it aint sharp I can play with it

as monty said . some one did this to my bike before i got it Posted Image

they cut a triangle out of the air box then made an ali lid like the original plastic one. if it gets windy the bike runs shit due to too much air getting in . dont drill or do what that diddy did or you will regret it when its windy

thanks guys for your advice, prob will go along the lines of dyno as i have it it done on my lc by a local guy. I put the air box lid back on and it seems a lot more responsive and no fluffyness at the top end. Thanks again, will let you know the findings once i have had it dynoed.
