i was struggling to refit my fuel line to the tank so i thought i would replace it. but the carb side is so close to the frame if i can get it on it will defoo be trapped in a pinch. is this the case on all 604's or have i made a mistake somewhere :o

That does not look like the std carb, the pipe normaly fits on the right at the rear on the fuel filter. you seem to have a screw to, std carb bolts down
Best fit as best you can

Does the fuel line go on the other nozzle in the pic or has the carb moved off the vertical and moved the nozzle nearer the frame. Whatever carb you have there sits a lot further forward than the del does, what is it,a mikuni?

I think your on the early model dellorto 39mm flatslide carb there,I heard ccm did a free swap for the 40mm phm back in the day because of resin slide problems. Can you slacken the rubbers off a bit so you can tilt the carb to one side to get the pipe on and re-route it somehow?
