I saw a thread about re-packing the exhaust back box. Mine is very noisey with the baffle in. It sounds hollow when you tap it. Its a standard one, that has no rivets holding the ends on. Do they press in ? Can you prise the ends off ? Is the standard box non service-able ? (or not worth the effort) Has anyone stripped one down? |

if its the remus one look in the end . there is a small pipe welded in there , that is the outlet hole , the insides are just like a maze of pipes that are the baffles . you need to grind the weld out and the insides will come out. it will weigh a whole lot less also . you can then get perfforated tube and paccking wool and make the standard can into a race can but it will be a straight thru can and mega loud . i have one that i cut open at work just now . you will have a tube ( the outer can) and two end caps . cutting it open is the only way to repack it. marc on here had pics of one cut open |
