On the R30's we have grooves on the top & bottom of the chain
adjusters but nothing on the swingarm to line them up with to
make sure the wheel is in line, how do you line yours up?
best I could come up with was to use a vernier from the back
of the swingarm to the adjuster.

I do the same, then look down the chain from the rear sprocket to see if the chain is straight, you will see a kink just of the sprocket if it is not.

Or you could fab a length of wood with 2 nails in, 1 nail centre of swingarm spindle, other nail centre of wheel spindle, the check both sides, (as discussed to death on old site)
If it aint sharp I can play with it

I saw a neat little gadget somewhere the other day. Basically it's a straight edge with a small clamp at one end. You clamp it onto the sprocket face so the straight edge runs up the chain, makin it easy to check the chain to sprocket alignment. It was in a shop somewhere on the web

After 10 years of 644 ownership I use 'the Force' to adjust the chain,
experience goes along way having snapped the original chain attacking speed bumps
way too fast with it over-tightened.... :dirtbike: :dirtbike:
CCM 644,Kent cam,Braking wavy disc and 4pot caliper,Brembo radial m/c etc etc
