i thought these are a straight swap? .. so why on my bike does it rub the frigging caliper?

and on the top groove its really really close to either side, like 0.5mm type of close.

Ok, so I saw this post after replying to your pm,I see standard 2 pot caliper and braking wavy disc...I haven't personally tried that combo,I have the matching 4pot braking caliper at the mo.
I did have something similar happen with standard Brembo caliper and a wavy disc I had made for some CCM cast wheels, and yes I just filed it till it didn't rub, leave plenty of clearance in case it swells with increased temperatures.

i guess the wavy disc is thicker than stock item?

or does your caliper not slide on the pins, so seized holding the carrier bracket against the disc??

rob it was the floating joins on the disc rubbing the bracket , and i think the disc is thicker as there was no room in the top of the caliper.

had to take a good few mil of the bracket but all sorted now, apart from a really annoying squeak. same place everytime but nothing is even close to rubbing.

wander if it all just needs to bed in?

i didnt have the room in the top groove on the caliper to do that mik, it did cross my mind though

"edit" plus i couldnt because the bracket that was the main problem is on the inside of the forks. i'll show you on monday if your up at the cafe

When i was running the Braking wavy disk with the standard Brembo caliper, a mate milled a millimeter or so (just to the edge of the radius of the casting) off the mounting bracket - more for clearance of the rivits / bobbins that hold the rotor to the carrier, they are a bit thicker than the ones used on the OE disk...

The Braking disk may be a tad thicker also... I think he also ran en 'end mill cutter' in to the 'U' bit that goes over the disk... and holds one of the anti rattle pad clips... 'twas 4 or 5 years ago! - the finer detail was all on the old site...

I've since got a Braking 4 pot caliper and the Supermoto 16 raial master cylinder.

Its a pretty std mod to the bracket to remove a few mm to aid clearance. Had to do the same when fitting the beringer set up, mainly for the disc fixings, which I counter sunk instead of domed heads

Glad you sorted it :D
If it aint sharp I can play with it

that sounds like exactly what i had to do paul, apart from the fact i dont have posh equipment. i have a file and grinder.

oo i took the bracket off again today i filed a bit more from the top of the bracket and the squeek has gone so it must have been rubbing abit.

the disc is nearly 6mm , standard old one is 4mm

For Info...

Braking Wavy Disk: STX64D
Braking 4 Pot Caliper: C43321
Pads (for above): Braking# 784CM55 / Brembo #07YA36SA / Carbon Lorraine # 2539SBK3

Braking Wavy Rear Disk: KT03RID

Braking 16mm Radial Master Cylinder (with integral reservoir): MC1601
Braking 16mm Radial Master Cylinder (with separate reservoir): MC1602

Note: when fitting the caliper you need to remove pads > fit caliper> re-fit pads with caliper in situ - the caliper wont go over the disk / past wheel rim with pads in place...

Early calipers were a single unit...
Later Calipers were a universal Caliper with a range of mounting brackets to suit different bikes...

Try Talon Engineering...
