Hi, i have a problem with my fuel taps. the last (very intelligent) owner of the bike made bigger rings under the taps, but now it leaks and the the sealing surface is wavy. it would be no problem to make this with a sealing bond, but i think later i never ever get this out. are there alternative fuel taps wich seals with a Ring IN the hole, not over the hole? this bike kills me........ i ride this bike 150 km in two month, only problem after problem after i saw the fuel leak (it cames over night left and right!!!) I was looking in to temptation for a lighter.......... i like this bike, i like this concept, but we had no good beginning regards joe |

Hi Joe, I think I understand where you are coming from. Can you not buy smaller "O" rings or even thicker diameter ones, I'm sure with a bit of thought a solution can be found, with out the use of sealant I would try the thicker option, |

hi monty, yes maybe this is a way. but i dont think this is a permanent useful, because if the sealing ring is bigger, it need more pressure to be really close. i have over 1mm gap between the tap and the tank, so i need a big ring. that was it, why i had the idea, that it would be better to have a fuel tap which seals with a ring in the hole and not outside. but i dont found something possible in the www why does the r30 have two taps and the ds only one? the closer front with the 17 wheel? regards joe |

The R30 has 2 taps to use as much of the fuel in the tank wings, also because of the smaller front wheel more fuel stuck in the wings than the DS with a 21 inch front |
