Hi,
i have the problem that the fuel came into the oil (1/2 liter).
i checkt the valves in the carb and these are close.
I checkt the level of the fuel, its ca 2mm over the carb.cover sealing.

can anyone tell me if this is ok or to high?

testing like this "Pegelstand" (thats not my carb):

When I set the heights on my suzy carbs, I use that method to check after float adjustment, Level as far as I set them up is level with the float chamber.

If you are getting fuel in the oil, the float needle is sticking,

I cant remember what bike you have, but if like the R30 they lean over a long way, which I am sure is why the needles do not seal correctly, because the floats are not vertical

Yes, i have a R30. the first i tried is to hang the carbs outside the bike and put on the fuel line. after 2 houres nothing came out. I opend after this the carbs and checkt the needles and the floats. i adjustesd the floater to 13mm (manuals of the xf).
After this i tried the fuel level. the most carbs i know have the level under the floater-chamber sealing. so at the side stand like you write, it can be came over.

Is this a known problem of the R30 ("never opend fuel at the side stand" or something like that)?

Yes mate, This is a well documented problem with the R30's, If the fuel taps are left on whilst parked up, they have been known to fill the sump with petrol.

As I said I personally think its because some side stands are shorter or bent and the bikes lean over too far for the floats to lift the needle,

My bike when stored always has a block of wood under the stand, also makes it easier to walk by, as it also takes up less room.

Rule of thumb, always turn the fuel taps off when parked. :D

Most unfortunate that you had just changed the oil, Now its contaminated with petrol it would be best to change it again, the filter should be OK.
