i dont think should go in the chat/tech section because its not a CCM.

Theres very little slack at the end of the clutch lever and the biting point is really really far out.
When Im riding through all gears (well what ive managed to use) I open up the throttle it revs freely but doesnt really go anywhere. Then all of a sudden the revs will drop and it will pull like a train. It did this after a 20 minute ride consistently so im guessing it can be because it cold.

Could be:
the clutch cable is too tight,
fully synthetic oil,
the clutch is fecked.

if its the clutch, what do I need... Clutch plates, clutch kit, etc... theres such a mix to buy from:

I'd do an oil change first, and put in semi.

Did the same on my Tigger many years ago, filled up with fully syn and slipped when given the beans, changed back to semi and problem gone

Failing that if it does not work change the friction plates,(I would fit EBC) but give the drive(metal) ones a check over at the same time
If it aint sharp I can play with it

Cheers Monty. Very fast reply.

Guess what I bought yesterday ready for a service...

Fully Synth

Everywhere suggests fully or part, so I wouldnt have thought it would make a difference... But its always worth a shot :D

clutch went slippy on my old translap on a trip at around 25k miles
i laid the bike on its side, removed clutch cover and preloaded each of the four springs with a couple of M8 washers
did another 20k miles before selling the bike B)

@Rob, as clever as that sounds... I've never worked on a clutch :D
But im guessing; does that pull the clutch further away?

Passed MOT :D

Then the clutch went on the way home... there was no power at all... cable was all floppy, and it stayed running at a stand still in gear... and it can be pushed in gear and feels like neutral:

And heres the one end of the cable... it couldnt be anything else could it?
