Yep, noticed it today. Exhaust bracket on engine has snapped away from the exhaust
Anyone else had this? Am i right in thinking i'd need a tig welder? I'm guessing if i ignore it i could be putting added pressure on the header pipe.

all of the brackets on my bike had snapped , when you look at some of the welds they had not even "melted" welded to the pipe and were just hanging there .

Tricky, have you got the exhaust version where the bracket is mounted directly to the engine or the one where it is further back on the frame, just so we have a better idea what you are dealing with.
There are several different types during the 644 run.

I have seen plenty of guys' 644's with no brackets other than the end can holding the exhaust together without incident.
CCM 644,Kent cam,Braking wavy disc and 4pot caliper,Brembo radial m/c etc etc

Yep it will need welding back on, either tig or mig, which ever you have at hand

Or as Marc says, leave it alone, the rotax doea not have any mounts other than headers and exhaust bracket

Mine has the rear engine mount bracket and the subframe mount, both have been welded, fitted a AV mount on subframe(anti vibration)
If it aint sharp I can play with it

Just to add another type to the mix.
My DS pipe is held on via the rear engine mount, but the r30 is using the rear sub frame as a mount

what ever is the cheapest. 304 sounds familiar though.

my bracket snapped months ago, just held on on the end can and had no issues.

i believe the newer zorst doesnt have any brackets anyway.

Easy gents.

@Marc - yes mate, i have the type where the midpipe is mounted on a bracket to the left of the clutch arm on the engine.

@Monty - I'm going to leave it for the time being. Doesn't seem to be causing any harm. It's snapped but it's still sort of sitting in the right place. Surprised to read the rotax doesn't have any. Does the pipe rest on the engine then?

@everyone - My delightful bundle of joy seems to be falling to bits faster than i can fix it at the moment. Indicators decided to give up the ghost today so the bracket has gone down a peg on the ole priority list. I'll take a photo of the bracket tomorra when it's light for you all to have a nose at. I really don't think it's as big an issue now thanks to your thoughts on it. I've got a little mig welder so i'll have a play in the summer.
