Most DS's don't come with hollow spindles or anyway of attaching crash bobbins, if you'd like to fit them you have to improvise a little bit. Things you'll need: Crash bobbins (I used some from an Aprilia SXV) A way of drilling and tapping your spindles(I used a lathe) Various tools to remove and machine the spindles(M10 tap, drill bits, sockets and spanners etc) M10 Bolts (length needed will depend on which bobbins you bought. Footpeg sliders First of we will start with the nice and simple foot peg sliders: Drill a hole directly through the centre of the foot peg strut just big enough to slide the hooked bolt through, if done correctly the slide will sit perfectly on the bottom of the peg. ![]() Next up the spindle sliders: Remove both your spindles, get them on a lathe and drill and tap them to an M10 thread, I went 25mm deep but its personal choice really. here's what you'll end up with. ![]() ![]() If you choose to use SXV sliders you'll have a hollow one, your best bet is to pack it out with M10 penny washers and place it over the nut side of the spindle, this way it'll sit correctly when tightened up, also make sure to get some loctite on the threads so they don't come loose whilst riding. |

Very useful write up ^^^ A cheap and easy way of getting hold of 'bobbins' is skateboard wheels, if you don't mind the price you can get some pretty fancy ones too, to colour co-ordinate your bike  |
