Hi hoping someone can help, thanks to Monty with the wiring diagram I've got most of the butchered wiring sorted on the 604.

I have a 2 black wires running from the plug which goes which goes to the clocks, one is an earth and I'm guessing the other is the neutral light, as I have no light green wire for the neutral switch, it reaches the area and has a ring connector on it, problem is I can't see anything on the engine for it to attach to, I've read it should be beside the sprocket but other than a plastic plug filling a hole under the sprocket can see anything.

Can anyone shed any light on this or possibly post a picture of the location of the switch?

Thanks Jim

your engine does not have a neatral light if it has a plastic bolt fitted under the sprocket. dont bother buying one either to fit, as you have to add the metal plate internally to the selector drum, Itried fitting one years ago and it jammed the gears, as said needs a bit inside as well,
If it aint sharp I can play with it

I can convert these if anyone specifically wants a N light. Best done on an overhaul as the cases need to be split and a 10p plastic washer (Insulator) needs to be fitted to the selector drum.

As said above dont even try to fit the switch as 1 you'll brake the new switch and 2 wont be able to select gears!
