Dropped the oil today to remove head to try and drill snapped exhaust stud out of the head and also to check the sprag as its been missing. I was hoping it would be a case of new spring. Turns out my sprag pretty much blended. Spring was gone, lobes shot and even the cage damaged. Probably why the oil went black so quickly. I also noticed a lot of wear / grindage on the gear that sits in the sprag?
Massively frustrated this is the 4th sprag this year im going to have to buy. Is it possible the wear on the gear is knackering my sprags? Battery etc are new and good. If so any idea where i can buy one before this bike costs me more than i payed for it lol. Not sure of the correct name but its numbered b350 7131
Thanks all

Thanks, spoke to Gary this morning. I thought the 37t freewheel gear could be shot. He confirmed this is likely. Hopefully the gear behind is ok otherwise im looking £500 plus on parts. This might be the end for the CCM. It will be a shame but I need reliability and this is the most expensive bike ive had to run. When its working its fantastic, spent a small fortune in mods...pumper carb...ti akrap exhaust etc and still have mods to do but just keeping her on the road seems to be emptying my pockets so i cant fund new mods. Not sure what to do 😧

Don't forget to use the Decompression lever to stop the motor as the kick back does for the sprag quicker than starting, you can blank off the starter motor hole with a plug quite easy, then its mastering the kick starting method that takes time & touch

My sprag is currently ready for the bin, has been pretty much since I got the bike. Never thought of selling it though, just got very good with the kickstart... VERY quickly!
I drink too much, I swear too much, I ride too fast and I crash too often.

It is a universal impossibility for me to leave my tools alone and my bikes standard. 'It must go faster!!'
