Hope everyones enjoying a sunny bank holiday weekend 🍻

As the weathers good ive decided to give the bike a bit of a check over as ive done quite a bit of repair maintenance etc to keep her going well. One thing id like to check is valve clearances as i seem to get an exhaust effect from the air filter, mostly when the bikes cold? I will check timing and change fluids as well.
Any advice, or opinions would be great as cant seem to find info on the 604 only suzi,s?
Thank you

If memory serves, I believe it's stupidly tight. 0.015" rings a bell...
I drink too much, I swear too much, I ride too fast and I crash too often.

It is a universal impossibility for me to leave my tools alone and my bikes standard. 'It must go faster!!'

Manual says 2 thou ( I recon thats too tight), So I set them up at 4 thou in, 6 thou ex, its worked for all my rotaxs with no tapping noises, also these settings are used by many other rotax owners.

Metric 0.05 inlet and exhaust ( that's what it says in my manual and also the Haines 604 manual.

Would i potentially be along the right path? Miss fire type effect and almost stalling gone down to a 40 pilot from 50 on advice but problem seems to have got worse. Small amount of fuel in breather below float bowl?
Problem has appeared since ive fitted a pumper carb. Poss too light slide spring?

Why don't you give Gary a ring at Sportax as he is pioneering the pumper and should be able to give you some invaluable advice.
