Ok recently purchased a phm40 pumper off a husky and went about the task of fitting it today. Managed to squeeze it in, rubber connector fitted etc and when started bike sounds like an animal! Smoother throughout and defo more mx sounding. Where the air filter fits, there is a plastic ring. This is threaded below for a trumpet fitment.
Anybody running one? Pros and cons?

Pros - more air flow due to no filter and the smooth track of the trumpet = bigger bang, when jetted correctly,
they look cool as fuck.

Cons - dirty roads etc might mean you at least run a trumpet sock , still better than an air filter set up though.
you WILL need a RR day to have this set correctly

I used HM Racing in Orpington, Kent . They used to run a husky back when supermoto racing was popular with Warren Steel. Really good guys, they know their stuff.
keep the faith

length .. yes , but only because with more length you can change the shape to bring air in faster, now .. if you could make the inlet manifold longer .. that would be a 1000 times better, but you cant because of our shock
