RS fuelcap; fuel cap for a 604 RS

Hi everyone, my fuel cap has finally bitten the dust. since owning the bike I've had to deal with a weird homemade plastic barrel to put my 'key' into. (It was a broken key end with two prongs and sucked balls) I have been looking for a fuel cap for a while but being a CCM its hard to find parts. I'm not a fan of the Haines ones as mine is a flush mount like a normal road bike. So I want something the same as that. I'm guessing a KTM one will fit as they have shared parts in the past but I've got no way of knowing.

If anyone has any knowledge of what fits in the tank it would be great. I would have bought ones to try but being on an apprentice wage now I don't have money for trial and error.

Thanks for any help on this,
Aidan

if you do go for that cap, i would ring first and ask why the 604 RS cap costs more than the 644 R30 cap, i'm pretty sure they are the same! it's only about £5 difference .. but there you go

Gonna be a problem in itself as with many things Ccm the factory would removed manufactures serial numbers so you would have to pay a kings ransom through them.

seeing as CCM had Acerbis make all their tanks just for them, i'm guessing you wont find that cap on any other bike.
but take some measurements and go hunting

Right I've just had a good look at my petrol cap on my RS and it's made by zadi, the same people that make the ignition switch. The design is the same as a aprilla rs125.
My neighbor used to run one and has numerous spares I'll see if he still has one and see if it's the same . If it is I'll see if he wants to sell it.

Sorry I've been a while replying. It seems that an aprilla rs125 the same unit. It also looks like some cagivas and triumphs also use it.
