I would probably go for the Haines kit now. It it such a great mod. For mine I made up a cable and used a very cheap eBay BMX lever. It works well but I don't have quiet enough travel for the decompressor to latch, no problem with electric start but might be an issue if kicking.

To be honest even the original kit from CCM doesn't lock the decompressor, it's more a case of being able to keep it open.

As I said it pulls the decompressor lever over but not enough to lock it in position, by design it is only there to hold it open by hand.
