I've decided my non yamaha (honda) ignition is too large and I want more room to make a custom dash setup

Can anyone recommend one? I've seen a few atv offroad kits for 8 quid. But thought I'd see if any of you lot have actual first hand experience of a decent non standard ignition.

Thanks
Ross

Sorry as in key and ignition barrel. This is for my yamaha wr400. There's loads of generic ones on ebay. Just seeing if anyone had real world experience with a particular set.

Cheers

You could just use a simple on/off switch, if you like. Works just as well. An ignition switch without immobiliser is not much of a theft deterrent anyway.

or use a remote controlled relay with key fob.
If it aint sharp I can play with it

A mate of mine used a electric block connecter with the end wired so when he pluged it in everything was "go" easy cheap & a bung to cover the open part

The issue I've got is. My insurance policy specifically states "must have keyed ignition".

I don't have a lot of room to put remote fobs sadly.

I understand these are easily bypassed. Just looking for something less cumbersome than my current one.

A "key" dosent have to be a metal thing that turns tumblers, it can be lots of things, a swipe card? A magnetic switch? All sorts of options, if I was you I would go with something simple & carry a huge chain & padlock.

How many wires you got? I used one off a CRF50 on my GasGas that's fairly compact, only 2 wires though.
I drink too much, I swear too much, I ride too fast and I crash too often.

It is a universal impossibility for me to leave my tools alone and my bikes standard. 'It must go faster!!'
