Ive hunted through the topics but cant see any thing im looking for so sorry if its already been asked,

Im pulling the head apart to do valves, seals and check the rings, so sending my cam off to kent cams to get re profiled at the same time, is there any thing else i could do at the same time? port polish? flowed? and so on?

id love to do the 710 but i wouldn't know where to start or how much it will cost.

Main question is, will the kent cam still be worth doing and give me a noticeable gain with the std 644?

:drinks:

The best bang for your bucks is the kent cam, porting and flowing wont make a lot unless you go 710.

More mid range grunt where you want it.

you don't have to take the head off to change the cam, best get another cam tensioner gasket, it may tear when removed.

get some silicon for the top cover as no gasket there

Your price is for one to be done, its cheaper if 2 or more get sent in, as the machine only has to be set up once.

Monty i didnt think to ask about a price for doing more, is any one else looking to get it done? ill be sending mine in the next 4-5weeks but can wait abit longer or earlier if anyone else is keen?

Hursty Thats the plan in the long run mate, where would i find one for sale? Or wheres best to get it bored and source a piston? From reading all the threads on here its not as simple as it sounds

Just bought 2nd hand cam last week wasn,t planning on getting it reprofiled till later in year ,though if its cheaper to get two or more done at same time I would take part ,but today I paid for my summer holiday (credit card) and March would be earliest for cam job.

I got a print out with my bike along with other stuff that said it produced 46.6bhp at the back wheel. The bike is ment to have the 710cc kit fitted, cam and jets is this a true reading if all is 'honest'?

That's a fair increase from the 33rwbhp from std, so yes it honest. all depends on the dyno and the operator on the day

I bought a spare barrel with piston just before xmas £60 Ebay with Dino importing PROCYCLE 790 big bore kit waiting to see how this engine goes. I was given a used 710 piston with bike though it has minor scoring on skirt will take to local ex bike racer to see if it can be salvaged maybe with just new rings. I will decide on big bore size after Dino has finished with his tuning it wont be to next winter.
