Will be doing oil change soon, have got a filter ready to use but wondering how often should the in line filter behind the engine be changed? Its a 604 rotax engine. Thanks

AFAIK it never needs changing, just a good cleaning is all I've ever done.

Wot he sed. Flush thoroughly with petrol, blow out with an airline to remove any stubborn metal shavings, refit and continue.

Edit: petrol or similar solvent cleaner. They seem to be fairly impervious to anything, if my session blasting it out with Supa Solv is anything to go by.

I drink too much, I swear too much, I ride too fast and I crash too often.

It is a universal impossibility for me to leave my tools alone and my bikes standard. 'It must go faster!!'

Be careful though, I cleaned one with brake cleaner and it instantly went brittle and fell apart :shy:
