I was a member of the very first forum which was on Yahoo, then someone started ccmriders which they got bored with after a year, Then Steve started CCMowners which ran for 2-3 years, he then retired, then Rudi jumped in with CCMMAD.

first post was probably Hello.
If it aint sharp I can play with it

Spooneys and Stella's Yahoo site back in '03 when I got my CCM...
Remember scanning in the Rotax Service Manual and converting it to pdf for Stella, and all you lucky tractor luvers ;-)
then on Riders, Posting the info I found about the throttle lift gubbins from a German Freewind site, with the clips n caps part numbers...
And then the Speedo info when it came to light I had a mag wheel speedo fitted instead of the spokey one...

A mate of mine from work bought a 604 with a few known issues. One being the sprag had failed and one other was that the head lamp was missing. he joined CCMRIDERS and asked for advice and got nothing but negative comments. Its not the first time i have heard stories like this. Was that the norm near the end? Needlesss to say he never went back and then sold it.

Was on the CCM Riders site for a few months, had donated, downloaded 4 files from the archive and Steve permanently banned me for downloading more than I could possibly use in a day! , I can view the site now but once I try to log in im instantly black listed and can't view the site untill I get a new IP address.

Within a month the place had closed down and I saw you lot looking lost in the CCM section of supermoto junkie and got to work making this place, worked out well i think considering my only previous experience was moderating on a Yamaha DT forum.

Was never on Riders but can only go on what i have heard.
This place is like a breath of fresh air because i have been on many forums over the years that seem to have a clique and usually with a moderator as the ring leader and all they seem to do is make it clear your a nobody. And i am sure its not me as i am as laid back as they come.

That dont happen here but as Steve mentioned we need to keep the funds rolling in. Its the least we can do.

Ha, you could have bought the 404 back 2months ago rich! No gone to R30matt
it wasn't destroyed....much, but 2nd overall in Trail class ATRC championship, behind a 'factory' CCM GP450 ridden by a guy that did the Dakar.
