What's the tyre of choice for a bit of everything.I got a R30 with standard 17" mags, want tyres capable of some gentle off road without loosing to many road manners.like the knobbly look but don't want it to be shite on the tarmac.
Seen some pics on this site of trail riding on 17" wheels, what you using?

Heidenau do their K60 in 17" in both 120 and 150 section width if memory serves. Had one on the back of my AR125 rat. Couldn't fault it.
I drink too much, I swear too much, I ride too fast and I crash too often.

It is a universal impossibility for me to leave my tools alone and my bikes standard. 'It must go faster!!'

theyre actually fine
until you get a hill with wet grass or mud

but a wet type pattern is slightly better
i like offroading the R30 cos it makes road riding easier if you have a slide....

Took my old GPz9R offroading once or twice. Surprisingly competent for such a large, ungainly bike! Didn't like sand though. Sand is a big no-no...
