cheap to buy and easy with heatgun, but can blister

can't think where the reservoir mounts on a 604??
HDPE is probably ok but Acetal is stronger/harder

i put some info here

I've got a master cylinder/ reservoir, all in one job from a Kwak kxf450,from several years ago to go on, in place of the crf one which has decided to leak from the seal, but as I'm no longer at home with a garage, I thought the plastic would be easier to work with, once to size, do you reckon I could warm it in the oven and then mold it over it?

yes mate oven is good
HDPE will be easier than Acetal then

you could make a simple press mould:
wooden U shape (or whatever)
heat plastic in oven: 180c until you see it sag
push it into U shape with a block
