Don't worry about it Mark, so long as they pay, you have to take into account traveling, the bidders may be very local, and the other bikes are always the other side of the country
If it aint sharp I can play with it

I picked my bike up for £1250 in what was meant to be reasonable condition (turned out all consumables were 1 miles ride away from being fully consumed).

Since I picked it up I've tracked a few other CCM's on eBay and I reckon values are steadily picking up a bit over time. Maybe a bit of a niche classic with the rotax engine, especially with the new bike drawing attention to the marque again?

Either way, as Monty says - as long as the pay, let them bid!

I had the same when i sold mt 4x4, first winning bidder turned up mob handed, didn't have a clue what he was looking at and tried to offer me less money.
I ended up telling him and his "mob" to fuck off and more or less pushed him out of the garage...
"nd bidder didn't bother viewing it then once he'd won, started picking holes in it and offered less...
I knocked £50 off in the end.
Then he wondered why i wouldn't drive out to my lock up (where i'd left it outside) and help him get it started and on his trailer when he came back to pick it up!!!!

did you offer the next highest bidder the bike?

Report the no payer, though it wont do much, as you cant find out if he has other non paying strikes against him
If it aint sharp I can play with it

I had my DR on eBay 3 times before anybody actually turned up.....he paid full price and was gone in 15 minutes

Which didn't really make up for the days I'd waited in for the other "buyers" to turn up

I'll never put a vehicle up there again

Marko have you tried 'Preloved', I've bought and sold stuff on there with no problem and there's no fees except the £5 to join

Presumably it was a PayPal sale in which case open up a dispute and as Monty said report him to eBay

Sometime an unscrupulous seller will bid up a similar item to theirs to make the one they are selling seem like more of a bargain.

yeah monty i offered the next highest bidder it , he didnt reply either,im not an e bay novice so know most of the tricks.its back up on e bay ,i may try gumtree if it doesnt go this time to be honest£ 1550 was too much for a project so i didnt expect him to pick up i should have blocked his bids cos of his low feedback score, ive sold or bought maybe 20 or so bikes via e bay and never had a problem, fingers crossed this time, marko

the second auction has now ended and now things are getting murky.the winner of the first auction was called edvin maksimovic the bidding ended way above what it was worth(1550) he never replied to any of my messages to pick bike up he was closely followed by a second bidder on (1550)i offered a second chance but he also never replied.on the second auction it finishes on 760 and the winner was the guy who was second highest on the first auction but declined the second chance offer..his name.....edmund maksimovik!and they both live locally within half a mile of each other.now around these parts this is not a common name and he says hes not related but i think thats stretching credibility to far.ive basically told him i dont believe him and wont be selling to him i may get bad feedback but something fishy is going on,,what are your views guys? marko and fuck it im breaking it up and selling parts, less hassle

Definitely sounds iffy, wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him. Be a shame to break it up, but it doesn't look like anyone who wants her whole has the cash floating about.
I drink too much, I swear too much, I ride too fast and I crash too often.

It is a universal impossibility for me to leave my tools alone and my bikes standard. 'It must go faster!!'

22 bids, yep I watched it on e-bay after reading what had gone on earlier. What can you say apart from weird. Kinda destroys your faith in people. But if you break it to sell it might take some time to unload most of it & theres always the chance you will be left with bits. I sold all my unwanted CCM rotax frame bodywork & bits on Gumtree it took some time but it went all of it pretty much to one guy. So yeah try to sell it as one job lot on most of the free sites like preloved/gumtree & hope for the best
