Hi,just this last week I have bought off ebay a 2004 CCMR30 with just over 8k on the clock, with the intention of turning it into a one off Cafe Racer. I,m hoping to get tuning tips of forum, and hopefully sell off all the parts I do not need. The first main thing I need to do is lower the front forks, probably looking at least 100 mm /4 inch drop minimum . I like to do all my own work, so if any one has done this successfully I would be grateful, if not there are suspension firms out there that would do it for a price, I will phone around after xmas to get some prices, but would like to do it myself if its not too difficult, the rear shock modification I have done on a few other specials weld on frame new higher shock mount. Thanks for reading this and hope to hear about front fork chop ,Merry Xmas and have a Happy New year.

Wow..Spooky !!

Have been in the garage this morning putting the R30 back together

I've got the engine in and the front and rear suspension on..and I thought.......

.....What a fantastic platform it would be for a Cafe Racer !!

I've just this minute come in to search - and spotted your post

Let me know how your thinking goes

(Have you seen this KTM based one .. http://www.pipeburn.com/storage/09_02_2013_engineeredtoslides_KTM_cafe_racer_01.jpg?__SQUARESPACE_CACHEVERSION=1360411202593
