They will be Armstrong/Can Am/Bombardier MT500/MT350 ones, almost exactly the same cylinder head, so they fit perfectly.

Just pop them in the head and bolt the exhaust stub in against them.

I fitted them because my pipes were so loose in the head, I had a bad exhaust leak that caused really loud (and constant) backfires everytime I rolled off the throttle. And the leaking hot gasses were melting my front mudguard.

A dab of silicone is helpful to hold them in place, or you could just use silicone instead of the gaskets. I used some to seal the exhaust into the stubs too.

Only finished the bike off tonight and took it out for a quick spin and it didn't backfire once!

mmmmmmmmmm they appear to be too small. the exhausts stubs wont slide inside of the gaskets, or are they supposed to be the same diameter as the stubs?

Hi Craig,

should be the same diameter as the stubs. I fitted gaskets as on my old MZ Rotax, outside diameter is 32mm, inner 27mm.
