I use Wynns gasket maker but I'd be on the pound shop bathroom sealant if I hadn't been given big tube of it. The manual states Loctite 221 low strength for casing bolts but I've used whatever's to hand on external stuff and nowts ever dropped off or been to tough to remove easily |

Remember in the old days using that hideous gasket sealant that was a proper t*@t to clean off and didn't work very well. Came in orange or red, can't remember the brand name but it was rancid |

I sure do, you'd spend forever scraping the old gasket off a casing and get a nice bead of blue/ red gasket sealent all the way round only for it to feckin slide off soon as you lifted the casing up to put back on. Or lookin down oil filler and seein red/blue snot flyin round with the oil Edited by thumb, Apr 8 2013, 04:45 PM.

The 648's for things like your cambelt wheel to stop 'em spinning. They have 574 as the only other loctite in the manual for the head o rings. |

All bike stuffi's on temporary hold Koban. Got injured and not worked for a while so cash has suddenly become tight. Sold the standard engine out of the main stead to pay the rent so I have no running bike at the moment. Typical isn't it,the suns been out ever since. I went into work today so if I feel ok in the morning I can hopefully get back on it pretty quickly. I've got the alloy plate to make the mik adapter, but haven't been able to file. The barrels the first thing to get money thrown at it. Currently on with that selling bits and bob's that I don't need to fund lol. I'm still toying with what to do with the head. I'm still looking at the possibility and cost of altering the rocker oil feed on the 560 head, which is already ported. Anyway one way or another it needs to be finished before the end of this month. |
