right, i know there's already threads on this so im not looking for a discustion, all i need to know is numbers of people
who would like the eyelet, price depending of course.

having my suspension serviced by a company who deals with WP stuff.
speaking with him today about my rear shock and he mentioned the lower eyelet.
i said we was trying to get some made up, and he said he gets asked for them too.

so .. this "could" help to make them cheaper but i need to know numbers first.

10 people would be ideal as if its only 3 of us there's no point.
this is not a binding contract, but if there is not enough interest then i wont bother.

As I started this I'd better bring you all up to date

So far we have 2 quotes for the eyelet, both £125 due to the time setting the CNC up, they will cost the same in alloy as stainless steel, personally I think stainless steel is the only way to go

On top of the eyelet there will be the cost of the bearing, £25 which is actually less than the CCM part

There are other quotes being sought, this matter is not forgotten

However the original estimate of £50 - 60 only brought forward 6 members, the quotes were for 10 minimum

Given this is going to happen to every 644 at some point I'm stunned at the lack of interest in this by the majority of the members :what:

Those who have helped know who you are and I'm eternally grateful ;)

If it comes to it then the few of us will go it alone

yeah i know where we are at the moment john, what i was hoping was that with a shop type place interested in getting some made as well, this could drop the price further... although i guess everyone is being quiet ... till their shock snaps

Am I correct to think this only affects 644s (Shock part no S1-1080-AA) not 604s? as they have a different shock (Part No AS088)

Only difference Tony is the angle of the remote reservoir.

Just unsiezed the lower bearing on my latest Rotax ds,

Not heard of a 604 breaking, only 644's, may be something to do with the mounting angle
