well i had a great day off roading, i even managed to stay on the bike and got lots of footage,

it all went wrong when the bike stalled .. not sure why but it did .. anyway i went to start it .. tryed it twice and on the second button push i heard that lovely tone of a battery dieing.. insert some very fruity swear words.

after 1.5hrs of trying to kick a rotax i had to admit defeat and called for back up, after a brisk walk i had a spare battery and jump leads, got the bike started, carried on and up my little hill climb where for some ungodly reason my chain came off the rear sprocket .. half way up the incline .. in a very deep rut.

so .. things before we venture out again:

1. learn how to kick a rotax .. i know the theroy but it would seem i canny do it!
2. see why my battery had no power
3. carry a tool to put the chain back on maybe .. even though it was adjusted perfectly

oo and 4. maybe go riding with someone and not by my self?

still up till then i had a cracking day in the snow

well i think iv'e found some of the starting issues, it would seem the posi cable from the battery to the starter motor has nearly burnt all the way through, im guessing this could be linked to my charging issue as well.

got the chain back on without undoing anything.. check the tension and it was still set right :what: how can this be?
anyway i gave it a little tweek just in case.

if someone could put a pic up of how their posi starter motor cable is routed that would be grand, i think mine is the right route, but when done up they made the cable exit to the side/header pipe .. instead of going out forwards?

its routed to the right of the main spar, up to head stock then runs down engine side to starter, it usually has a black with it, which fixes to the bolt holding the starter in
If it aint sharp I can play with it

Got the hang of it in 2012, same again. caught them out a few times as got it first kick, and they hadn't got their lids on, expecting me to be kicking for another 15 mins.

Knee was shot in 2011 hence Robs electric boot
If it aint sharp I can play with it

ok .. mine is routed the length of the engine, not that this was a problem .. just how the tightened it up as it rested on the header pipe, didnt notice the earth .. maybe a second look is in order
