as will said . give it a go with the engine hot . just watch you don’t burn your self . give the bolt or nut a good whack with a hammer (if flanged nuts use a socket when you give it a belt) that should break the corrosion that will lock it tight . if any ever changes glow plugs in an engine . don’t do them with the engine cold . you will only snap them . get the engine mega hot (disconnect the fan (but remember to reconnect it later ) so its mega hot) then loosen them . they should come out easy then. same with ford focus spark plugs . if you are unlucky and have the same engine as in my wife’s focus sport1600 and the plug recess fills with water and erodes the spark plugs and they snap when you try to get them out :o . if you get the engine toasty it will expand the head a little before it expands the spark plug and you should get them out ok |
